AFTER BURN

This painting is part of the Burn series, and the first to really involve color plus drawing with graphite. I’ve never drawn much since I first painted at 12, but I had a particular look in mind for this series that I think can only be captured with drawn fine lines. I’m not sure if I have the exact process of drawing, brushing over with various acrylic grounds, and then oil painting down to a science, but I’m getting closer.
